Job Summary:

Are you exceptional in customer service and organization?

The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a very professional individual like you, who performs administrative tasks for the Warden and staff, including researching administrative matters, preparing reports, and completing special projects, responding to correspondence, and maintaining Warden’s operating budget.
This position also orders supplies, material and equipment, directs inmate work activity and represents Warden’s office at committee meetings and attend staff meetings at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Winslow.

Job Duties:

- Researches and compiles reports, letters, inquiries, and policy updates
- Manages supervisor calendar
- Sets deadlines
- Supervises subordinate staff
- Researches material and gathers data for special projects
- Maintains inventory control, develops or modifies procedures and forms, interprets and explains organizational rules, regulations and department orders
- Attends meetings
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) policies and procedures
- Grammatical formatting using concise, specific, and grammatically correct non-technical language
- Organizational movement, management of business practices, and work processing
- Accounting and budgeting procedures

Selective Preference(s):

- Three (3) years of responsible administrative experience reporting to a manager or administrator
- Working knowledge of computer programs, including Google Suite

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
