The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a Web Developer with good customer service and collaboration skills to work with various Information Technology (IT) and agency teams to develop and maintain web services and applications. Also provides technical assistance in the maintenance of Internet and Intranet websites associated with ADCRR.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

- Creates, modifies web files, and applications in conjunction with web standards
- Develops, troubleshoots, and assists local web staff with servers, scripts, and other technical problems
- Plans, tests, and implements web-enabled applications and software patches in support of the agency
- Works with internal and external resources to implement and maintain websites
- Prepares reports and assists with development implementation plans
- Initiates and enforces web standards throughout the Department’s Intranet and Internet websites
- Attends current industry training and seminars
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge of:
- Web programming languages, including but not limited to HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Active Server Page.NET (ASP.NET), C#, and eXtensible Markup Language (XML)
- Graphic design tools
- Enterprise Relational Databases such as My Structured Query Language (MYSQL), and Oracle
- Web development software and analysis tools
- Principles and techniques of application life-cycle management
- Project management life cycle and the role of technical specialist in a project
- English to include spelling, sentence structure, and grammar

- Two (2) to four (4) years of experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
- Knowledge of PHP ( Hypertext Preprocessor) and SSI (Server Side Includes)
- Experience in securing websites and web applications using industry best practices
with supporting Sharepoint, Visual Studio, ASP.net, Notepad, Fiddler, and Drupal
- Knowledge of waterfall and Agile project management

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
