The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Division of Business and Finance (DBF), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant IV to join our team. This critical role serves as a key financial control function, providing independent oversight, complex financial analysis, and strategic decision support to agency and state leadership. As a Accountant IV, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and presentation of financial statements and managerial reports, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and state financial policies. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial data through meticulous reconciliation of state accounting records, preparation of adjusting journal entries, and independent review of transactions. With approval authority for state financial system (AZ360-FIN) transactions, you will ensure compliance with statutory requirements across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, transfers, and journal vouchers. This position also supports the preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and Single Audit compliance, demanding a strong ability to analyze and validate financial statements. You will collaborate closely with division and agency leadership, providing expert financial guidance and interpretation of financial data to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency. - Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a closely related field required
- One year experience as an Accountant II or III or equivalent is required
