The training Officer 1 will work under the direct supervision of the director of training and education. This position will assist in training hospital staff and conducting new employee orientation. The incumbent will conduct classes, enter data, create course-ware, provide
technical assistance, assist the other members in training and education to cover them when out on annual leave or sick days, provide hands on competency demonstrations, review/refresher trainings and unit/department based training. This position will work collaboratively with all departments to ensure consistency with information being provided and that the needs of the clinical departments are being met. Complete special assignments as assigned and serve on various hospital committees.
- Conducts training classes. Orients new staff to hospital policies and procedures and trains mandatory programs to all staffing levels. Participate in all aspects of training provided, including but not limited to new employee orientation, review/refresher training, hands-on competency demonstrations, and unit/department-based trainings.
- Enter data, create course-ware, provide technical assistance, assist the other members in training and education to cover them when out on annual leave or sick days, provide hands on competency demonstrations, review/refresher trainings and unit/department based training.
- Prepares training materials including the development of training manuals, acquisition of necessary supplies.
- Confers with management regarding training needs.
- Creates reports on training completions and tracks all participation of staff.
- Oversees and assists adjunct trainers.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%).

Lean Methodologies.

− Planning and design of curriculum materials.
− Utilizing adult education principles, including different types of teaching/learning
modalities to meet the needs of a diverse audience of learners.
- Analysis of training requirements, content analysis and materials analysis.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relations with individuals, groups
and representatives of other organizations and departments.

Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, a social or behavioral science or in a related field and 1 year of work experience training adult learners. Experience in working with regulatory agency rules/regulations/standards, implementation of educational
programs and training.
Pre-Employment Requirements: |
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR and NVCI certification.
- A State Hospital employee must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issues pursuant to A.R.S.41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within seven working days after beginning employment.
