The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) Information Technology Unit (IT) is seeking a talented and engaged Project Manager Intern who is working towards a degree in information technology and wants to develop beyond the classroom learning.
With the guidance of the PMO department, the Project Manager Intern will:
- Learn practical, hands-on experience in project related tasks in conjunction with project management methodologies, standards, and processes
- Interact with staff and stakeholders to learn about project execution, implementation, and deployment
- Utilize tools and formulating an understanding of the development life cycle of projects
- Assist experienced staff members with the creation of timelines, scheduling resources, and managing risks, while gaining hands-on experience working with stakeholders and sponsors
- Participate in a collaborative learning environment and gain insight from experienced project professionals
- Work with other departmental cross functional team members
- Gain an understanding of the approach to project management
- Provide an understanding of the ADCRR mission to enhance public safety
- Understanding of PMBOK methodologies and processes
- Ability to follow established standards, policies and procedures
- Learn information systems and upgrades
- Work with project manager to learn about presentations
- Assist with their preparation
- Delivery to process owner, customer and stakeholders

- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
