BUSINESS OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

Identifies opportunities for use of solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste; Supports the organization’s key business operations processes and applications and recommends business process redesign where applicable; Gathers and documents business requirements for large, complex projects.
Translates requirements into business, functional and use case documents for large, complex projects; Maintains business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice
Prepares and delivers informative, well-organized presentations and reports and project status reviews to stakeholders including process owners, executive team, customers and stakeholders
• Assists in planning, organizing, and managing the financial and business management functions (Operations) for the agency; assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures for operations functions; provides support as needed in the areas of budgeting, purchasing, procurement, supplies management, and personnel, as well as other business services functions that support the operations of the agency
• Analyze division operations across the Department for process improvement, including IT and workflow solutions; research, identify and implement process improvement solutions
• Assist in the preparation and submission of the agency annual budget request, strategic plan, AMS tracking/updates, and agency reporting; participate in strategic plan community of practice; provide leadership to agency regarding AMS, strategic planning; participate in Governors Transformation Office activities

• General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development
• Knowledge of supervising, coaching, leading, motivating, training and assisting professional employees
• Federal and State requirements, laws, regulations, and agency rules, relevant to the agency's mission
• Assisting with formulating policies to establish direction of the agency or divisions/departments

Pre-Employment Requirements: |
• Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver license record checks, required to maintain acceptable driving records and complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11)
• Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver license appropriate to the assignment
