The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) is searching for an energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated individual who would be responsible for promoting and filling ADJC career opportunities; utilizing social media to seek out potential applicants; networking and building relationships with community and educational partners; implementing recruitment marketing strategies; utilizing the state’s enterprise recruitment system to compose and post job announcements; reviewing and screening applicant qualifications; and making offers of employment. - Sources potential applicants by utilizing social media, the State’s PageUp recruitment system, commercial job boards, and community/educational contacts
- Promotes ADJC career opportunities and benefits, at in-person/virtual career and job fairs, community events, educational career days, and military transition events
- Tracks pre-employment testing which includes fingerprinting, background investigations, drug tests, medical/physical examinations, employment verifications, file reviews, and reference checks
- Administers and proctors pre-employment assessments to include psychological examinations, the Diana Screen, and the IMPACT assessment
- Supports the Arizona Management System (AMS) by participating in team huddle board meetings, tracking and reporting recruitment metrics, and authoring/updating recruitment unit standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge of:
Recruitment strategies and best practices to include drafting job announcements, job board postings, applicant sourcing. social media, and vacancy tracking
Personal computers and use of various software programs including human resources recruitment software, video conferencing, and the Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Arizona Department of Administration Personnel rules, and federal and state employment laws and regulations
Skill in:
Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
Time management and organization
Customer Service
Ability to:
Maintain confidentiality

Analyze and evaluate HR data
- Two years of hands-on experience in handling personnel actions, including but not limited to new hires, promotions, salary calculations, etc., with a proficiency in utilizing the PageUp system and AZ360 system.
- Knowledge of ASRS/CORP retirement systems
- Able to work Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM (In Office) and occasional Saturday’s, if needed

The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.010).
