This role is pivotal in ensuring the Office of Systems Coordination (OSC) effectively manages modifications to PMMIS and MES, incorporating updates from the HEAplus and APEP systems, and communicating these changes to relevant personnel. The position involves collaborating on HEAplus and APEP requirements to develop and implement PMMIS adjustments while maintaining detailed documentation of current system challenges and identifying areas for improvement.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work closely with OSC team members to determine the most efficient methods to accomplish tasks. Independently evaluate system functionality and identify opportunities for enhancement. Create and revise System Requests for HEAplus, APEP, and System Service Requests for PMMIS and other agency systems.
• Lead and participate in meetings related to new programs, business rules, and system requirements to gather information and provide technical assistance during requirement-gathering and training sessions.
• Investigate and conduct research to understand and establish requirements to resolve complex issues reported by internal and external agencies, offering accurate and actionable solutions.
• Keep up to date on system changes, policies, and procedures. Maintain standard work processes and documentation. Actively contribute to Arizona Management System initiatives within the unit, division, and agency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge of:
• Project management, operational and management analysis
• Principles and techniques of automated information systems analysis, design, modification, and implementation as well as system processing technical language
• Program principles and logic of testing methodologies for effective system analysis, testing and the documentation of test processes
• Research methods and operational/ programmatic procedures
• Integrated Medicaid, TANF and SNAP eligibility system and processes
• PMMIS Recipient, Health Plan, Provider, and Reference subsystems
• AHCCCS Policy and Procedures related to Medicaid and CHIP eligibility, enrollment and buy-in for the acute, ALTCS, and specialty categories
• Arizona Management System and standard lean practices

Ability to:

Minimum: Three or more years of program testing. A degree or relevant certification in IT, programming and/or coding may substitute for experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in information systems plus experience in program testing (or equivalent experience); experience related to Health care is a plus.
