Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

This position may offer the ability to work remotely 2 days a week, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Summary:

This position oversees the ADOT's Statewide Fueling Program; and the Enforcement Scale Program, ensuring daily budget is reconciled, dispatches technicians and monitors daily work orders. Oversees the statewide fuel credit card program to include the state consolidated fleet agencies. Provides environmental informational support and channeling of information for 58 statewide fuel sites owned and operated by the agency, interacts and works with agencies to align with compliance laws and regulations.Keeps the unit manager updated on all fueling, scales and environmental issues.

This position may be available for remote work within Arizona (Two (2) days per week in the office/hoteling).

Job Duties:

Monitors 58 fueling systems for Federal and state environmental compliance programs. Maintains data from different databases and provide information to regulatory compliance inspectors to close out inspection requests. Reviews inventory reconciliation logs to ensure compliance issues are being adhered to and that underground Storage Tanks (UST's) operational.

Review workload and dispatch fuel technicians as needed to statewide fueling sites. Up-channel serious issues or regulatory compliance challenges to management. Diagnose fuel site issues; create/maintain fuel site work orders. Ensure fuel sites have been tested and certified to meet state and federal EPA standards. Serves as the point of contact for fuel system compliance regulations and reporting to environmental regulators.

Prepare reports on Underground Storage Tank (UST) environmental compliance issues. Monitor/audit Underground and Above Ground leak testing results to ensure they meet compliance standards and submit compliance reports to close out site compliance reviews.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Selective Preference(s):

Two years experience in project management to include customer service, database management, data analysis, preparing correspondence, generating reports, data collection and workload control.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
