This position. under the supervision of the Feature Inventory System (FIS) Supervisor, conducts the data collection and evaluation of Features for the state wide Feature Inventory System. This position conducts training of the Feature Inventory Systems computer application with FIS users.
The position also provides technical and administrative support to FIS Users. This position provides training to District personnel for updating Feature Condition Assessment in FIS.
This position is involved in the Special Line Item projects for drainage improvements and cattle guard replacements and also the POCA 12 for Maintenance Levels of Service. This position will also be involved in Levels of Service (LOS) inspections and data analysis due to the centralization effort of LOS.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Conduct Field Data and perform condition assessment of Features using the Feature Inventory System (FIS) data collection program. Update feature attribute data in FIS, where Roadway Improvements have been made in recent construction projects. This position will also evaluate the automation of field data collection through the use of tablets and mobile applications. Analyze FIS Data and provide reports to District and Units to assist in identifying features involved in the Special Line Item projects for Drainage improvement and cattle guard replacements.
Perform field Inspections and feature attribute updates as part of project tracking and completion. Generate reports to seek additional funding for maintenance through the development of budget issues. Conduct Level of Service (LOS) measurements statewide and assist in data quality assurance inspections. Cross train and be cross functional in evaluating new features that are introduced for the LOS program such as pump houses, signals, RWIS, CCTV, OMS, and other traffic features.
Analyze LOS data in support of the needs-based budget allocation model used in allocating the over $165M maintenance budget to areas within the IDO and TSM&O divisions. Provides customer service and training to users in the use of the FIS computer application as well as how to update feature attribute data using the FIS Data Collection Program.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job and the following requirements apply.
