Job Summary:

This position entails managing existing computer network security issues and concerns within the agency's network. This encompasses all IT devices, including phones, computers, cameras, switches, routers, firewalls, laptops, tablets, servers, WAP wireless controllers, and any other device connected to the agency's network. The role also involves instructing youth participating in the Youth Vocational Program.

 

Job Duties:

-Maintain existing infrastructure and ensure the system is secure against internal and external intrusion.

-Maintain system level patches for IT equipment.

-Network testing for vulnerabilities as mandated by federal, state, and local requirements.

-Generate and monitor real time reports and audits of all IT equipment.

-Work with outside vendors and keep current with emerging technologies.

-Install and maintain physical network connectivity, including CAT5/6 cabling, terminating, and fiber cable/patch management.

-Install, maintain and configure agency camera infrastructure. Including camera installation, access levels and back up of recorded data.

-Maintain and administer agency Physical and Virtual Server environment.

-Youth Vocational Program - instruct and teach youth in all aspects of MIS.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications including but not limited to:

-Palo Alto Firewall Technology

-Wide Areas Networking (WAN)

-Local Area Networking (LAN)

VMWare - Virtual Server Environment

-Cisco Router and switching technology

-Bosch camera systems

-Microsoft Server Operating Systems

-Windows 7 & 10 Operating Systems

-Anti-virus Technology

-Federal and State laws, rules and regulations as they pertain to information security

-Virtual Private Networks

-Palo Alto Firewalls

-Penetration Testing

-PCs, tablets iPhone, and printers

-All aspects of cyber security initiatives


Skill in:

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience

The preferred candidate will have:

• 10 years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Active Directory systems

• 3 years Microsoft Azure Administration

• 4 years of hands-on experience in IP networking to include Cisco management

• Proficiency in PowerShell usage.

Additionally, experience with cloud platforms such as Azure; Advanced certifications in security and/or systems administration; and Veeam backup experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Requires possession of, and ability to maintain a current and valid Arizona issued driver's license. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license records checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).


Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license records checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.010).
