| The Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections (ADJC) comprises various professionals located throughout the state in our central office, secure care facility, and regional community corrections offices. The ADJC, along with its dedicated professionals, are responsible for young people who are committed to its jurisdiction by county juvenile courts, as well as the administration of the Interstate Commission for Juveniles. | While the position's working title is "Construction Condemnation Attorney", the attorney will actually provide legal services and advice to the Department of Transportation on a wide variety of issues as assigned. The attorney will be responsible for handling all phases of complex litigation involving real property acquisition and construction contract disputes. Additional matters will include, but are not limited to, relocation issues, encroachments and other right-of-way issues, interpretation of any statutory intergovernmental agreements, interagency service agreements, property management issues, interpretation of any statutory of regulatory provisions relevant to ADOT activities, and review of proposed legislation or administrative rules. The attorney may also be asked to provide legal advice and representation on a variety of topics to ADOT's Motor Vehicle Division, Aeronautics Division, and various statutorily created boards and commissions. |
