INVESTIGATOR Pima County - Office of Child Welfare Investigations TUCSON
The Child Welfare Investigative Specialist primarily investigates criminal conduct reports with allegations of felony child abuse and/or neglect, which may have resulted in serious injury, or death of a child. This position conducts home visits, and documents interviews, testifies in court, assists and trains staff in the navigation of a variety of registries and inter-agency databases. Under supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision-making, the Child Welfare Investigative Specialist is assigned to an OCWI unit. The Child Welfare Investigative Specialist adheres to county specific joint investigation protocol throughout the investigation.
Lab Compliance Officer Sr PHOENIX
Performs work corresponding to the activities within the Quality Assurance and Improvement Office, Radiation Control, and the Laboratory Licensure and Certification Office. Assists or determines the issuing of licenses to laboratories (Medical Marijuana, Environmental, Clinical), maintaining current licenses (EPA, CLIA, ISO/IEC) for ASPHL by ensuring the minimum standards of proficiency, methodology, quality assurance, operation and safety, and ensuring compliance with ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. Conducts initial and annual inspections of laboratories, ionizing and non ionizing facilities to determine compliance with the Statutes or Rules. Review of quality systems by tracking documents, corrective actions, and other quality data. Conducts investigations of the operation of a licensed laboratory upon receiving a complaint or of an unlicensed laboratory performing compliance testing. This position is required to perform work at/attend meetings at alternate locations and/or travel (in and out of state) when necessary, possibly requiring a state, personal or rented vehicle.

This position will be responsible for performing critical and time sensitive follow-up and case management services for newborns and infants with abnormal dried blood spot screening test results . This position will serve as the lead for the section, providing follow up case management on complex, time critical and time sensitive test results, training staff on procedures and providing assistance to follow-up specialists with difficult cases. This position is under the Office of Microbiology & Molecular Diagnostics which provides statewide clinical diagnostic and reference testing services for microbiological agents that aid in the diagnosis, management, and surveillance of infectious diseases that are of public health importance. This position is responsible for developing standard operating procedures for laboratory testing using various complex testing methods, with a focus on molecular methods such as next-generation sequencing. This position will function as the Emergency Planning/ Exercise Coordinator for the Partner Integration Section within the Bureau of Operational Readiness and Response. The person will develop, update, and maintain ADHS public health preparedness plans and develop and execute exercises to test those plans. The person will coordinate with federal, county, state and tribal officials on preparedness plans review and updates and maintain documentation.
