| What You'll Do to Contribute to Agency Success:
The Division of Business and Finance (DBF) is searching for someone who has strong analytical skills and has demonstrated the ability to analyze information and has solid decision making, as you will serve as the focal point on hospital related payments and will need to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
As the Financial Reporting Manager, you will serve as an agency resource for hospital finance & financial reporting issues. The position is responsible for calculating several hospital funding distributions and for numerous AHCCCS reporting requirements related to hospital reimbursement, profitability, and the assessment on Arizona hospitals established in Laws 2013, First Special Session, Chapter 10 and Laws 2020, First Session, Chapter 46. This position will also serve as the subject matter expert on Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC) and Rural Health Clinics (RHC) in relation to payment reimbursement.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

The Department of Economic Security is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Supervisor 2. The Accounting Supervisor 2, under the direction of the Accounting Manager, provides financial and accounting support to Departmental management and external partners, including the General Accounting Office (GAO) and the Auditor General’s Office (AGO). This role involves overseeing federal and state reports, assisting in the compilation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
This critical role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial operations and maintaining strict compliance with all relevant governmental accounting regulations. The ideal candidate must have a comprehensive, expert-level understanding of the principles and pronouncements of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

This includes strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation, while ensuring successful program outcomes in accordance with federal and state funders and relevant authorities. This position works under the general direction of the Office Chief for Injury & Violence Prevention and supervises two Program Managers who oversee the Opioid Data to Action (OD2A) and State Opioid Response (SOR) programs. The Opioid Program Administrator will also collaborate closely with epidemiologists and other staff in the Bureau of Assessment and Evaluation and Business Information Office to advise on OD2A and SOR surveillance data and the Overdose Fatality Review. This position also develops and monitors budgets and expenditures; oversees management of all related grants and/or contracts; guides strategic planning, technical assistance, training, and health communications with partners, stakeholders, and program staff to identify opportunities for integration and collaboration; and develops critical relationships with internal and external partners, including community-based organizations, coalitions, county health departments, tribal nations and community health centers. The Opioid Program Administrator ensures accomplishment of the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the agency, Division, Bureau, and Office of Injury & Violence Prevention and ensures successful outcomes for the opioid prevention and response programs, including Opioid Data to Action (OD2A) and State Opioid Response (SOR) projects.
