BUILDING PLANS COORDINATOR 1 BELLEMONT, FLAGSTAFF
This position leads a team in the planning, preparation, review and examination of plans and specifications for AZ ARNG buildings and facilities, including assisting in budget preparation and providing project reports as required. The primary responsibility of the Building Plans Coordinator is to create specifications to define the project, recommends changes when required to correct defects, and maintain the projects within time and budgetary restraints. Duties include: project inspection for compliance, estimating project cost using estimate guides and computer programs, and participating in pre-bid and bid meetings with contractors and state and federal procurement and contracting office. The Building Plans Coordinator meets with contractors, architects, and engineers to discuss project matter, and serves as lead liaison between Dept. of Defense (Navy and Air Force) and the Ordnance Operations Department (OOD). Other duties include preparing documents for Procurement and Contracting Office (federal and State), estimating projects costs using estimate guides and computer programs, and preparing documents for the Navy, Air Force, & OOD for planning, progress and closing out of managed projects. The OOD manages all classes of infrastructure/real property (utilities, roads, railroad, bridges & trestles, and buildings Installation-wide, and customers nationwide, which may require travel out of state to coordinate projects. Out-of-State travel may be required for training purposes. EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 3 BELLEMONT
Operates heavy engineering equipment and material handling equipment to include, but not to be limited to: Road graders, bulldozers, front end loaders and 20-ton dump trucks. Perform road maintenance and snow removal at the direction of Physical Plant Supervisor I. Perform routine inspections and operator level maintenance. Turn-in equipment to maintenance shop chief for periodic maintenance and services, maintain documentation as required. On occasion, supervises a Department of Corrections work crew or individuals performing road maintenance, construction or maintenance of barbed wire fences, and clearing vegetation from igloos. Assists FMO North crew members with all general work orders assigned, as needed. Perform all duties in a safe manner. Tracking and maintaining work order data logs for material cost estimates and time applied towards facilities work orders for all buildings and departments. Maintaining knowledge of life cycle longevity on job specific equipment. This position serves as the Statewide National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Programs Manager for the Arizona Army National Guard (AZARNG) Environmental Management Office (EMO). The position provides program-level leadership and oversight to ensure NEPA compliance and effective integration of environmental requirements across AZARNG activities. Working under general oversight of the Environmental Program Manager and Deputy EPM, the incumbent exercises significant independent judgment in managing the NEPA program, advising leadership, and coordinating with internal and external partners. The position is accountable for the overall effectiveness, consistency, and regulatory standing of the AZARNG NEPA program. This position requires frequent in-state travel and occasional out-of-state travel.
