The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of enterprise IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. This role proactively solves complex technical issues, implements and maintains security controls, and supports agency operations through system administration, network management, and customer-focused technical support. The position owns day-to-day technical decision making, escalated incident response, and enforcement of technical standards across systems and infrastructure. The Senior Insurance Analyst is responsible for reviewing various types of complex insurance filings for administrative completeness and substantive compliance. Filings to be reviewed may include a variety of types of insurance, including life and health, property and casualty insurance and service contract products. The Analyst will need to maintain electronic filing systems within the Product Filing and Compliance Division, including ensuring compliance with state record retention laws and schedules, and responding to public records requests. The position maintains expert knowledge of, and determines compliance with both Arizona and Federal laws and regulations applicable to various types of insurance policy forms, contracts, rates, rating methods, underwriting rules and advertising filed with the Department. • The School Safety Program is established within the Department of Education to support, promote, and enhance safe and effective learning environments for all students by supporting the costs of placing school resource officers, school safety officers, juvenile probation officers, school counselors and social workers on school campuses in accordance with Arizona Revised Statute 15-154. The program currently funds more than 950 positions at schools across Arizona and serves diverse populations, including tribal members. • This position will collaborate with site-based interdisciplinary teams and work to educate and support internal and external stakeholders regarding the successful implementation of the School Safety Program. Additionally, the position will help provide programmatic support and technical assistance to districts and schools across diverse geographical areas, and will partner with government, higher education, and community-based organizations to develop support for the School Safety Program. • Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position. The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment, with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs).
