What You’ll Do
As a Behavioral Health Technician Lead, you’ll:
-
Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site
-
Coordinate overall unit activities for psychiatric patients.
-
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment.
-
Lead, train, and guide staff.
-
Provide patient care and support.
-
Ensure proper security protocols are followed.
-
Collaborate with nursing staff with regards to patient treatment plans.
-
Work in a 24/7 controlled medical/behavioral health facility under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
We’re looking for someone who can:
-
Organize and coordinate unit activities for psychiatric patients, focusing on maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment.
-
Train, provide technical assistance and support to less experienced staff.
-
Participate in meetings, discussions, and problem-solving processes to enhance care strategies.
-
Monitor security risks and maintain a controlled environment.
-
Respond to medical and psychotropic emergencies, assisting with safety protocols.
-
Deescalate situations and resolve conflict.
-
Assist in patient intake processes, review patient history and address patient rights, complaints and grievances.
-
Follow detailed oral and written instructions.
What We Need From You (Required Qualifications)
-
Be able to work in a 24/7 controlled medical/behavioral health facility.

Valid Driver’s License
-
A valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or apply for one within seven (7) working days after beginning employment
-
Attend required training at start of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with quality improvement methods and application.
-
Experience with conducting thorough searches within a medical/behavioral health facility.
-
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (ex: psychology, social work, counseling)
-
CPR and NVCI Certification (you will be trained)
