The Arizona State Treasurer's Office is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated professional Administrative Assistant to provide professional administrative support to the executive staff and special projects as requested by the executive team.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
• Managing Executive’s calendar, which includes coordinating and scheduling meetings, events, conferences, and other appointments
• Organizing and responding to emails and voicemails
• Answering phones
• Compiling data and preparing reports and agendas
• Serves as the Secretary of meetings
• Organizing events and travel information
• Assisting the Executive Team as support staff for events
• Archiving and retaining documents
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of administration and management.
• Knowledge of general office practices, including techniques for screening and sorting incoming correspondence, visitors, and telephone calls.
• Ability to multi-task using effective time management and organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Research and problem-solving skills.
• Provide professional customer service to all including constituents and state and local officials.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to apply professional discretion in all aspects of job duties.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs.
The ideal candidate for the position will have a minimum of 1 year’s administrative experience in the government sector or private sector.
Candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal history investigation.
