What You'll Do:

We are searching for someone who is a team player, can juggle multiple projects, is flexible in an ever changing environment and has excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers. If this sounds like you, come join our team!

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide are networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Migrate functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.
• Develop and implement documentation for maintenance and provisioning procedures for software defined network infrastructures.
• Develop, implement, and manage the architecture and operational support of network infrastructure for both cloud and on premise networks.
• Assess and respond to network related incidents.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in emerging networking technologies.
• Architect and deploy network solutions in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
• Design, deploy, upgrade and support of the enterprise and hybrid network infrastructures.
• Research and evaluate network technologies and tools to improve the operational efficiencies of a cloud based environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
• Cloud technologies including: AWS, AZURE, Google and OCI, Custom SSL, ciphers, and Elastic Load balancing, performing optimizations.
• F5 Service Chain function; networking and systems administration; BGP, OSPF routing technologies.
• OSI and TCP/IP network models; Strong understanding of Network Service Provider Interconnectivity platforms.

Skills:
• Build strong relationship skills for driving and leading discussions, leading requirements sessions, experience in producing deliverable documents, discussing and planning application architectures with cross-functional teams to include.
• Developers, business, technical teams and third-party vendors.
• Strong implementation skills in migrating functions and networks to private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Abilities:
• Collaborate, empower and connect with a variety of other architecture roles in the organization.
• Lead cultural change for cloud networking adoption including developing and coordinating cloud network architectures.
• Develop a cloud networking strategy and coordinate the adaption process.
• Ability to work in a Virtual Office setting

Qualifications

Minimum:
• 3+ years of Cloud Architecture, Network and Infrastructure Design Skills in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. At
least one technical or cloud vendor certification such as:

• AWS Certifications (Associate Level – Architect or Professional Level – Architect)
• Microsoft Azure 300-level Certifications
• Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Professional, CompTIA Network+

Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or other IT related discipline, 3+ years programming experience with scripting languages. 3+ years of Git and integration with Git development to operational workflow. Experience working with PowerShell and or Python scripting languages. Experience with Cloud Cost Optimization and Operational Management.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
