The Administrator of the Transformation Office (ATO) will oversee four teams, Continuous Improvement, Partnering Office, Supplemental Workers Program and Strategic Planning. This position directs and drives improvement methodologies, focused on sustainable results aligned with the Governor's Transformation and Strategic Planning offices. The Administrator will work with Executive and Senior Leaders to identify opportunities for improvement across unit, division and agency. Will work in collaboration with leadership to facilitate and lead change management with establishing benchmarks, measures of process performance and develop improvement strategies. Maintain and direct a support network of lean coach resources to target agency and division priorities.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Manage day to day operations of the Transformation Office. Supervise the Managers leading the Partnering Office, Office of Strategic Planning, Office of Continuous Improvement, and Engineer in Training (EIT) & Temporary Worker Programs. Collaborate with ATO Leadership on operational standards, develop and implement plans and goals. Manage and oversee the project intake for agency projects initiatives.
Work with Leaders across the Agency on innovative ways for process improvement with support from the lean coaches, partnering facilitators and the strategic planning team. Work with Agency Leaders promoting the EIT, Intern and temporary worker programs to create a pipeline to public service. Assist in developing metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives. ADOT’s point of contact with the Governor’s Transformation Office (GTO) for AMS and Strategic Planning activities.
Collaborate across Divisions supporting the lean coach community in problem solving, process improvement and agency initiatives. Point of contact for the Governor’s Transformation Office (GTO). Partner with the GTO for education, best practices and enterprise initiatives for Arizona Management System (AMS).

Bachelor's degree or 4 years experience managing a team in the government/public service sector.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
