Starting Salary
Depending on experience:
With Bachelor's degree $80,000-$83,000
With Master's degree $83,000-$86,000
With CPA $86,000-$89,000
· Assess and monitor school district compliance with the Uniform System of Financial Records for Arizona School Districts (USFR) through review of audit reports and status review testwork.
· Research and revise internal control and financial reporting guidance and special purpose forms for local governments.
· Research standards, best practices, laws and regulations, and other applicable resources.
· Review the impact of new standards, laws, and regulations to provide technical guidance and assistance to local governments
· Monitor assigned projects’ progress and completion and ensure projects are high quality, meet standards, and are completed within established budgets and deadlines.
· Review team working papers and correspondence and provide constructive feedback.
· Prepare and present workshops, webinars, and trainings to assist local governments in developing strong internal controls.
· Occasional out-of-town travel for status reviews and presentations.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or interest in obtaining certification preferred.
· Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
· Strong interest in public service and improving State government.
· Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
· Well-developed interpersonal skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Must have valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
