RETIREMENT SPECIALIST ENTRY

Compensation: $18.2692/hr. + excellent benefits and work/life balance
(No nights, no weekends, paid holidays, and training provided)
Consideration for promotion to Retirement Specialist and opportunities to work from home may occur once the combination of performance metrics and six months in job role are met.

The Retirement Specialist communicates and educates members on the benefits and options available from the ASRS. After four weeks of paid training we encourage growth and development to our team members. We enjoy a great work-life balance, no nights or weekends, and after training telework requests will be considered. Our members rely on you, our Retirement Specialists, to help them navigate through their retirement options and career with an Arizona participating employer.
- Providing World Class Customer Service to callers whether they’re brand new members, in the middle of their career, enjoying their retirement, or not a member at all
- Explaining information related to ASRS specific policies and procedures to our members in an inbound call center environment
- Educating members on the impact of their retirement decisions
- Answering and clarifying member account questions/concerns
- Assisting members with accessing their online account information
- Servicing member accounts
- Explaining benefit calculations
- Researching member inquiries
- Providing member account support to divisions within the ASRS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
- Candidates with at least 6 months of customer service experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience in interacting with the public in a service position, i.e. food service, retail, etc.
- Analytical, computer, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to be trained on:
- Complex policies and procedures that will be discussed with members
- How to meet objectives and deadlines with accuracy
- Effective communication over the phone
- Experience working in a team environment and meeting team objectives
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and judgment
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 12 months of customer service experience
