The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a self-motivated individual who works under the supervision of a higher authority and performs full Administrative secretarial functions of a responsible and confidential nature for the Complex Warden.
This position also coordinates and arranges staff meetings, responds to telephone inquiries for information, compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports at the Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) - Yuma.

- Composes correspondence, uses computer equipment in the completion of job assignments
- Compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports
- May compose replies to correspondence on routine matters
- Update department policy manual
- Types meeting minutes
- Completes special projects
- Creates, organizes, and maintains confidential and administrative files
- Logs, tracks, copies, and forwards responses for correspondence and documentation
- Maintains filing
- Collects and distributes all incoming and outgoing staff/department mail
- Answers, screens, and refers calls appropriately
- Coordinates special events, meetings, and fundraising events
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies and procedures
- Written and verbal communication
- Grammatical formatting using concise, specific, and non-technical language
- Computer usage and work processing, and spreadsheets software programs (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
- Techniques in screening incoming calls, visitors, and telephone calls

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
