Life Safety Code Healthcare Compliance Officer PHOENIX
Responsible for accurate completion of inspections and complaint investigations, scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, document and form preparation, all within the established time frames. Conducting in-depth complaint inspections and compliance evaluations of considerable difficulty to ensure compliance with established state statutes, rules and CMS regulations for up to 5 types of health care facilities, including state and federally funded programs, programs serving developmentally disabled. Assure that consumers, clients, residents and/or patients of all ages and diversified backgrounds receive the necessary care regarding their safety and well-being. Make critical, defensively sound judgments to recognize and act upon conditions affecting safety and welfare that are within the purview of state statutes, rules and CMS life safety code. Public Health Scientist I - II PHOENIX
Performs inorganic and organic laboratory analyses on clinical (human blood, serum, urine), water, and food samples using complex analytical instrumentation of one or more of the following platforms: ICP-QQQ, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC-QQQ, and/or LC-HRMS. Position supports work under the ADHS PHEP grant as well as supporting testing in the ADHS Chemical Emergency Response and Environmental Emergency Response Programs. All analytical works performed in adherence to the CLIA accreditation and ADHS Laboratory QA/QC protocols. Bench work includes samples prep, sample analysis and the interpretation of test results. Additional work includes LIMS data entry, the ordering of supplies/consumables, instrument maintenance, instrument/method troubleshooting, waste disposal, and general adherence to Good Laboratory Practices. Works directly with chemicals and common laboratory hazards (gases, cryogenic sample prep) as well as analytical processes that may involve microwave digestion and/or solvent extraction. Performs method development and subsequent validations as needed. Position may be required to travel in support of the PHEP grant. Performs other duties as assigned.
