The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a professional to maintain a tentative release list and ensure inmates are released as mandated by law and Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) policy.
This position also verifies eligibility of inmates for release by using batch reports and Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS) screens and will act as liaison between the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency (ABOEC) and the units at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Safford.

- Verifies release eligibility in accordance with applicable state statutes, policies and procedures prior to offender’s release
- Processes release paperwork
- Notifies the appropriate authorities with release dates
- Arranges transportation to approved placement
- Coordinates Parole hearings and processes paperwork
- Processes Sex Offender Registration and notification forms in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry Sex Offender Coordination Unit
- Processes commitment paperwork for the Arizona State Hospital as necessary
- Stays available to staff and answers questions regarding inmate records and the application of sentencing and release eligibility
- Reviews, verifies, and enters data with ACIS system and determines accuracy, isolates and defines problems
- Corrects inaccurate data to ensure ACIS is able to use correct methodology for time computation
- Analyzes and interprets court orders, documents, and commitments to ensure legally and accuracy as it pertains to inmate sentence in order to accept commitment to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry
- Processes ICE Detainers and prepares inmates for pick up by ICE
- Attends staff meetings and all mandatory trainings
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to assignment

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Revised Statutes and ADCRR policy and procedures governing releases, detainers, and warrants
- Automated and manual filling systems for inmate records, work management, leadership and training practices and procedures
- English language including grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Personal computers and software including MS Word and ACIS
- Mathematics
- Interpreting court documents and legal terminology

- Interpretation, analysis and application of Arizona Revised Statutes, rules and regulations, and ADCRR policies and procedures as they apply to offender time calculations

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
