Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Individual and Family Affairs Manager, this position will work with the OIFA Team to develop and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders to promote recovery, resiliency, and wellness throughout Arizona. The role is responsible for expanding and enhancing credentialed family support services through policy design, and implementation in collaboration with community members and the OIFA Alliance. The position uses data and feedback from community members, and partners to assess needs, identify barriers, and recommend system improvement. As a member of the OIFA team, this role will be assigned various projects to manage from planning through completion, ensuring deliverables are timely, high-quality, and aligned with OIFA's mission

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Expand and strengthen credentialed family support services by identifying gaps, developing resources, and building capacity for family participation in all levels of the behavioral health system. Ensure that peer and family voice is embedded in planning, policy, and service delivery.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, track timelines, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure projects meet goals and deadlines.
• Facilitates meetings, community presentations, and events to share resources, gather input, and strengthen partnerships on topics including credentialed family support, system navigation, and recovery principles.
• Use data (quantitative and qualitative) from claims, surveys, and focus groups to assess needs, monitor trends, and recommend improvements to behavioral health policies and services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
• Issues and needs of individuals and families with behavioral health challenges
• Principles of recovery and resiliency
• Data collection, analysis, and reporting methods
• Arizona behavioral health system, AHCCCS and Medicaid programs
• Lived experience as a recipient of behavioral health services or as a family member

Skills:
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills
• Skilled in project management, including planning, tracking, and reporting
• Experience developing training materials and public-facing resource

Abilities:
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, including individuals with lived experience, providers, and policymakers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, data visualization tools, and virtual collaboration platforms
• Analyze and interpret data to inform decisions and strategies
• Able to travel statewide as needed

Qualifications:

Arizona Driver License. 

Minimum:
• Three years of professional experience related to health programs appropriate to the assignment, which include program planning or administration; Lived experience as a family member of someone with a behavioral health challenge and/or an individual who lives with a behavioral health condition, a Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment may substitute for one year of the required experience. 

Preferred:  
• One or more years of experience working in family support services. 

• Experience with Arizona’s behavioral health system. 

• Experience with leading projects from start to completion. 

• Spanish speaking preference. 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.

• Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements.
