Job Summary:

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Intern to join the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Division of Licensing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on public health experience by working on real-world projects alongside experienced professionals.
As an intern, you'll assist with daily operations and get exposure to various licensing teams. You'll also support key initiatives that directly impact communities across the state. This is your chance to contribute to vital public health work while building your skills and professional network.

Job Duties:

• Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for public health programs
• Assist with administrative duties
• Research public health topics, policies, and best practices
• Opportunity to shadow compliance officers on healthcare surveys and more
• Attend team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of public health operations
• Contribute to special projects as assigned

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Work, or a related field
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in Google
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Interest in state-level public health policy and practice
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred
