The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic leader to join the Benefits Services Division (BSD) as an Operations Manager. In this vital role, you will lead the Benefits Operations Team, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of benefits processing for the entire State of Arizona—including universities, the Arizona Commerce Authority, and the Power Authority.
As the Operations Manager, you will serve as a technical and operational anchor for the AZ360 system. You will manage a team of business analysts by coaching them through challenges and opportunities they face, developing a deep understanding of their work and fostering their professional development. You will be responsible for planning the work of your team and understanding the priorities of the Benefits Services Division.
You will also be the representative for the Benefits Services Division in complex technical interactions with our partners within the Department of Administration, the State retirement systems and with our vendors; this will require a comprehensive understanding of the AZ360 system and the rules, regulations and laws that govern the health care of our members around the Statey.
Beyond technical oversight, you will play a key role in statewide education. Collaborating with agency staff, you will help develop training materials and communications that empower employees, retirees, and HR professionals to navigate the state's benefits systems effectively.
