The Senior Systems Administrator serves as a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology (IT) expert with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to manage and maintain critical IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the communication skills necessary to coordinate effectively with team members from diverse groups within the organization. The Senior Systems Administrator will perform comprehensive user administration, including managing user accounts, access, and responding to support tickets. The Senior Systems Administrator has experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity platforms and protocols. The Senior Systems Administrator acts as a high-level point of escalation for support tickets, resolving complex user issues promptly and professionally. The Senior Systems Administrator provides expert technical support and maintenance for all organizational hardware and associated peripherals.
- Implements software patches and security updates using cloud services and mobile device management solutions
- Perform comprehensive user administration, including managing user accounts, access, and responding to support tickets.
- Ensure compliance with Cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Process, track, and resolve customer generated technical support requests
- Manage and track IT assets to ensure proper data destruction and surplus in accordance with policies and procedures

Knowledge of:
Manage workloads efficiently, demonstrating excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and prevent potential system failures. Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and project stakeholders using strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and infrastructure maps. Lead the deployment, patching, and configuration of operating systems and application software. Provide technical support and maintenance for organizational hardware. Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders using strong written and verbal communication skills.
Skill in:
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues. Manage workload efficiently, demonstrating excellent organization and time management skills. Manage and maintain server infrastructure (both physical and virtual), ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Oversee network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations. Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity procedures. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex, multi-system issues.
Ability to:
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations. Demonstrated ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly Proficiency in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, consolidate details and extract to user requirements Effectively translate user, stakeholders and oversight agencies requirements into business, functional and test scenarios Demonstrated ability to develop and write user documentation with others. Drive and travel, as needed, for up to 6 hours.
Bachelors of Science degree preferred. CompTIA A+, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, JAMF, Apple Certified Support or equivalent
Requires possession of a valid Arizona driver's license.
