The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Investigator III.
The Investigator III serves on an investigative unit which is responsible for conducting investigations including, but not limited to: adverse background issues, unprofessional conduct allegations and competency to practice concerns.
• Conduct in-person interviews with applicants and licensees at the Board's office
• Conduct administrative investigations concerning unprofessional conduct
• Collect, analyze and summarize information from a variety of sources
• Communicate with respondents, attorneys and Board members
• Maintain a high case volume and meet a variety of deadlines
• Prepare investigative reports
• Prepare consent agreements

Knowledge of:
• Collecting, reviewing, analyzing and summarizing information
• Maintaining confidential information and documentation
• The Board's rules and statutes
• Writing professional reports
• Conducting interviews
Skills:
• Clear, concise, logical, and professional writing skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical analysis of complex information
Abilities:
• Collect, understand and interpret complex information from a variety of sources
• Manage a large caseload, multitask, and meet continuous deadlines
• Identify potential violations of unprofessional conduct
• Work independently and as part of a team
• The Investigator III will be required to attend a nationally recognized basic investigator training within a year from the date of hire
• Bachelor’s degree required
| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
• Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
• Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment
