RESEARCH INTERN REMOTE OPTIONS, PHOENIX
The Research Intern supports the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) Research Unit by assisting with workforce, education, and economic research projects. Under the guidance of Research Unit staff, this position contributes to data collection, analysis, literature reviews, visualization development, and research documentation that support workforce planning, program evaluation, and policy development. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with labor market information, administrative data, and applied research across multiple agency initiatives, including AI workforce research, Workforce Pell, economic development, and other strategic projects.
BUSINESS OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR PHOENIX
This position directly supports business operations across the agency, including facilities management, capital improvements, and inventory oversight. This includes buildings that are owned by the state and rented including (150 N 18th Ave Phoenix AZ; 250 N 17th Ave Phoenix AZ; 501 N 24th Street Phoenix AZ; 4814 S 40th Street Phoenix AZ; 400 W Congress, Suite 116 Tucson AZ). This position will oversee the day-to-day administrative activities, including staff management and process optimization including front desk management, security management, phone trees, signage, and other duties as assigned. This position will manage agency-wide business functions, including copier services, mailroom operations, and auxiliary business support including quote requests.
Program Specialist PHOENIX
The Prevention Specialist will be responsible for implementing alcohol awareness and substance use prevention programs in local schools and communities. This includes delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences of teens, facilitating educational contacts with licensed liquor establishments, and representing the organization at community events. The ideal candidate will have strong public speaking skills and a passion for promoting healthy choices among youth. This role is a highly field based position which requires frequent travel throughout the State with occasional overnight stays. This is a grant funded position, contingent upon continued funding from the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SABG).
OFFICE OF MANUFACTURED HOUSING PLANS EXAMINER MANAGER REMOTE OPTIONS, PHOENIX
Within the Office of Manufactured Housing division, the Plans Examiner Manager is responsible for reviewing submitted construction and installation plans for compliance with federal regulations, statute, rule, adopted codes and standards while managing staff engaged in the same activity. This includes maintaining awareness, best practices and the necessary tools to efficiently review, understand and interpret building code and construction variations as new and innovative building types are introduced in the state. Other duties as assigned. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, in Arizona, to include in-office hoteling, based on the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. At the operations level, under general leadership of a lead firefighter and supervision of Assistant Chief perform prevention, control and extinguish all types of fires. Coordinate and perform related rescue, first aid, and property conservation. Includes fires or potential fires involving structures, wildland, aircraft, missiles and separate component weapons or other materials. Perform operations and operator maintenance of all types of firefighting and related rescue vehicles, equipment systems, and devices in support of overall base emergency contingency operations. A 56-hour shift type work week schedule will be followed. Overtime may be required depending on mission requirements.
