Introduce animal agriculture sector responders across agencies and jurisdictions to the spectrum of response stakeholders needed to effectively respond to a Foreign Animal Disease (FAD) or mass mortality of livestock event in Arizona, introduce responders to the fundamental and overarching differences in command-and-control structure of FAD responses from traditional all-hazards incident management.
Duties to include but limited to:
Development of bilingual training materials and and SOPs for participants with enforcement authority roles and guides for participants providing public health outreach, surveillance and coordination support to FAD response.
Attend and take notes on project team meetings, assist with the planning and execution of tabletop exercises, conduct post training drills and assist with the creation and deployment of post-training assessment tools.
Assist with the development of educational materials for agricultural stakeholders and emergency response partners explaining the various options for mass depopulation and disposal in the face of a significant animal disease or mortality event.

Enrolled in curriculum leading toward a Bachelor's or Higher degree in Animal Health, Food or Plant Science, Veterinary Medicine, Emergency Management or related field. Recent grad within 1 year.
