The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Habilitation Services Project Coordinator - Quality Specialist. This role is primarily responsible to conduct investigations within established time lines involving Division member while demonstrating the ability to remain objective, maintain confidentiality, have expertise regarding the particular situation and have no conflict involving the situation.
DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high-quality, and member-driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community.
Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing, Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with a principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordination of investigations, conducting investigations, and completing investigation reports. Completes on-site monitoring at licensed residential settings relative to monitoring and contractual compliance according to rule and policy. This includes driving to licensed settings and completing face to face interviews with members and Qualified Vendor staff, completing chart audits, and providing technical assistance as needed.
- Drives to and from licensed settings to completes on-site Vendor reviews related to remediation follow-up activities, technical assistance, environmental checks and other duties that require an on-site presence at a Vendor site. This includes Environmental Wellness Checks that are face to face with members, on-site remediation visits, and initial credentialing visits.
- Conducts training and technical assistance for qualified vendors/service providers and division staff.
- Works collaboratively to ensure member supports are identified. Ensures health, safety and welfare of members is prioritized by implementing systems required by contract.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- One (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or a vulnerable population.
- Experience conducting investigations is highly desirable.
- Experience utilizing various computer programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Database systems, etc.) preferred.
