Job Summary:

The Utilities Division recommends thoroughly researched, sound regulatory policy and rate recommendations to the Commissioners, based on a balanced analysis of the benefits and impacts on all stakeholders and consistent with the public interest.

Job Duties:

- Learn audit procedures and apply them in performing regulatory audits on small water and wastewater companies
- Make recommendations to the Commission related to the establishment of just and reasonable rates to be used in billing customers for utility services
- Analyze financing and other applications and make recommendations to the Commission
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Summarize findings in written reports, Review Compliance filings post decision
- Meet filing deadlines, Present at Open Meetings

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

-Ability to analyze economic and financial data using various statistical methods, Ability to effectively and clearly present written and oral testimony in formal proceedings
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Word and Excel), Strong writing skills to prepare reports, memos, orders and letters

Selective Preference(s):

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics or similar field is preferred.
