PLAN REVIEW MANAGER

| Within the Office of Manufactured Housing, the Plan Review Manager is responsible for reviewing submitted construction and installation plans for compliance with federal regulations, statute, rule, adopted codes and standards while managing staff engaged in the same activity. This includes maintaining awareness, best practices and the necessary tools to efficiently review, understand and interpret building code and construction variations as new and innovative building types are introduced in the state.
Manages negotiated contractual agreements; monitors contract expenditures; advises contracting agencies; writes reports, memoranda and correspondence. Provides regulatory and code guidance and consultation to department personnel, licensees, registrants, contractors, contracting agencies, and the public. Provides training, coaching and education of staff to better the understanding of state and federal programs and requirements.
Maintain program records and currency of all reporting requirements.
Perform other tasks as assigned, to include participation in development of other division programs, trouble shooting and problem solving, promotion of best practices throughout the division and industry.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, in Arizona, to include in-office hoteling, based on the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. |

| This position is assigned to our General Accounting group within the ADHS Controller's Office and works under general supervision of an Accounting Supervisor as an Accountant 2. Makes practical applications of technical accounting principles, theories, and concepts beyond the mere application of detailed rules and instructions pertaining to a specific system. Performs assignments that are designed to expand practical experience and continue development of professional judgment in the application of basic accounting techniques, such as examining a variety of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other agency-specific accounting requirements. Maintains effective fiscal management by analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating accounting and reporting systems, procedures, policies, and methods. Reviews, gathers, compiles, and processes data entry for complex inter and intra agency revenue and expense transfers. Coordinates intra-agency transfers with appropriate program finance managers, Coordinates Inter-agency transfers with financial staff in other agencies to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transfers. Performs complex and difficult accounting assignments, specializing in the General Accounting segment of the Controller's Office. Suggests solutions to identified financial problems. This position also provides assistance and backup to the data entry aspects of the Direct/lndirect Cost Desk. |
