This position is responsible for planning, developing, analyzing, and expanding the family campout program. This is a program that introduces camping and outdoor recreational adventures to families that have little or no experience enabling them to broaden their enjoyment in the outdoors and camping for years to come. Provide general and educational information to camp participants regarding camping; environmental issues; natural, cultural and personal safety; and how to be good stewards in preserving our natural resources. |

At the operations level, under general supervision of a fire department Captain, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief and/or Installation Fire Chief, perform prevention, control and extinguish all types of fires on the ground. Coordinate and perform related rescue, first aid, and property conservation. Includes fires or potential fires involving structures, wildland, aircraft, missiles and separate component weapons or other materials. Perform operations and operator maintenance of all types of firefighting and related rescue vehicles, equipment systems and devices in support of overall base emergency contingency operations. A 48/96 hour shift type work schedule will be followed, (2 days on shift/4 days off shift). Overtime may be required depending on mission requirements. Position may require temporary relocation to serve at other Arizona Army National Guard fire stations.
Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement of workplace culture, through the use of teamwork, root cause problem solving, standard operating procedures, and review of performance metrics. |
