| Performs laboratory analyses on a variety of microbiological and/or chemical specimens. Interprets test results. Complies with quality control procedures. Records and reports test results. Assists with complex and specialized tests. Works with infectious, toxic, and/or other hazardous materials. Positions are responsible for quality analyses, accurate interpretation, recording test results and determine
if samples are suitable for testing. Individual positions may be responsible for some or all of the duties listed below and/or other related duties: Performs, specialized microbiological and molecular biological testing procedures on specimens/samples submitted for laboratory analysis. Performs chemical tests to determine presence and/or extent of contamination by toxic, hazardous, and/or regulated chemicals. Performs quality control testing as required by regulations; maintains appropriate records. Records results of laboratory analyses, including such information as procedure followed, specific laboratory results, final identification, date reported. Performs preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments. Orders and reorders supplies for work unit as needed. |

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

| This position will serve as an independent member of the medical staff and will function as a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). Provides inpatient psychiatric care to patients at the Arizona State Hospital. Responsible for psychiatric assessment. diagnosis and treatment to assist patients towards stabilization and recovery. Leads a multidisciplinary team and oversees the work of the clinical team in developing and implementing an individualized treatment plan. Coordinates with providers, families, guardians and other
parties in developing a comprehensive discharge plan. Prescribes medication, orders lab tests and other procedures via the electronic Physician Order Entry system. Completes required documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. Participates in hospital committees when necessary and assists in developing policies and procedures when necessary. Works with interdisciplinary team members in coordinating care and treatment. |

Forensic Scientist III (DNA)

| The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as a Forensic Scientist specializing in the DNA discipline. Utilizes chemical, microscopic, chromatographic, and comparative techniques and instrumentation to examine, identify and evaluate physical evidence which may include: controlled dangerous substances; blood, urine, and other biological specimens; firearms; questioned documents; latent prints; trace evidence; and other items of evidentiary value. Prepares technical reports; provides expert testimony in court; provides technical advice and guidance to and trains other forensic scientists; recommends revisions to analytical methodology and purchase of scientific equipment; serves as an experienced casework analyst working complex cases within the discipline and performs related tasks as required. Supervision is received from a Supervising Forensic Scientist.
