Job Summary:
The Grant Process & Application Specialist oversees the administrative and compliance processes necessary for preparing and submitting grant applications. This position coordinates internal workflows, interprets Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements to identify procedural needs, and guides project leads in assembling required documentation. The role independently resolves non-routine process issues, identifies gaps or inconsistencies in application materials, and ensures applications meet compliance and submission standards.
As the primary liaison between internal departments and the internal grant writer, the specialist supports the development of complete, accurate submissions aligned with institutional and funder requirements. The position manages internal timelines, facilitates the review and approval process, and maintains accurate records. It also oversees the college’s grant tracking systems to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with application activity.
The role serves as a central resource for staff participating in grant development and applies established procedures to provide guidance, support consistent adherence to deadlines, and maintain the integrity of the grant application process.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Significant work experience in grants, compliance, or administrative support.
Demonstrated experience with data entry.
Demonstrated experience coordinating a project or process.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Resource Management, or a related field.
Experience with grant compliance or pre-award processes.
Experience interpreting RFPs or regulatory documents.
Ability to interpret general federal/state guidelines.
Familiarity with database systems or ERP modules (e.g., Banner, Colleague).
Experience in a higher education or similarly structured environment.
