Job Summary:

This job posting is for a pooled position and will remain open for the 2026–2027 academic year. Student positions are filled each semester on a need-to-hire basis; applications are reviewed only when positions are available.

Student Employees in the Adult Resource Center provide welcoming, student-centered support to students, employees and community members who seek information, services and resources. Under the direction of the Adult Resource Center staff, they assist with resource navigation and referrals, student food pantry operations, departmental communications, data entry and outreach activities.

Student Employees must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, sound judgment and confidentiality while working effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic student support environment. They must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of students, employees and community members.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.

Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Requirements for LCC Student Employment:

The primary purpose of student employment is to provide current LCC students the opportunity to acquire job skills and experiences during semesters in which they are attending classes as follows:
• Enrolled and actively attending the following total LCC credit hours by semester
- Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 6.0 credits minimum (taken over 16-week period)
- Summer Semester = 3.0 credits minimum (taken over 8-week period)
• 2.00 GPA minimum (unless it’s student's first semester of enrollment at LCC and/or granted approval to waive requirement from the Student Employment Coordinator)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Actively pursuing a certificate, associates, or undergraduate degree at Lansing Community College
Note: International students (i.e., F-1 visa holders w/ valid I-20 issued by LCC) must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements each semester, in order to maintain employment eligibility per United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS):
- Fall and/or Spring Semester(s) = 12.0 credits min. (taken over 16-week period)
- Summer Semester = 3.0 credits min. (taken over 8-week period)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3.0 GPA
