Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Graduation, the Coordinator Degree Audit / Curriculum Management is responsible for overseeing DegreeWorks at the undergraduate level, updating courses in Banner, and performating change of major requests for undergraduate students. The Coordinator works directly with college advisors, graduation analysts, and members of the Provost's Office on a regular basis to complete their job duties. The Coordinator scribes requirements for individual curriculum and program requirements, coordinates a thorough testing of scribed curriculum blocks by college advisors and graduation analysts, and communicates changes to campus partners. The Coordinator attends monthly Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meetings as an Ex-Officio member to clarify/verify proposed curriculum changes/requirements; verifies submitted paperwork is complete and correct; investigates evaluation discrepancies; and monitors course substitutions/exceptions to verify the University is meeting SACSCOC regional accreditation, THEC, MTSU Board of Trustee standards. The Coordinator develops and conducts training as required; creates tutorials on the use and benefits of degree audit for faculty, staff and students; performs other related tasks and assist with special projects assigned; and cross-trains to serve as back up to the Records Supervisor and Associate Registrar during high volume as appropriate.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree.

Required Related Experience

Three (3) years progressively responsible experience and programming skills using MS Office software, student information systems such as PeopleSoft, Datatel, Banner, etc. and/or related experience in higher education administration/advising, admissions, or related field.

Desirable Related Experience

Five (5) years progressively responsible combined experience within a Registrar's office, as a graduation analyst, or an academic advisor preferred. Previous experience with degree audit, program requirements & graduation evaluations preferred
