Job Summary/Basic Function

The Marketing Coordinator for Creative and Visual Services (CVS) helps support the department's team of designers, content producers, photographers, and printing staff by verifying information, communicating with clients, providing quotes, assigning projects to staff, locating and collaborating with outside human and other resources, and providing the administrative services to keep the department's activities on schedule and within budget. The coordinator represents the department in meetings and is the primary backup for the director for critical functions such as customer communications, overseeing the assignment of creative and marketing projects. This role assures time and resources are accounted for accurately for billing. The coordinator must establish and maintain lasting relationships with clients, other staff, division-wide peers, campus partners, and outside vendors; and must identify which partners to collaborate with on particular projects. The coordinator works closely with the Printing Director, the Market Development Consultant, and the Blue Print lead worker to ensure smooth transition of projects from design through print production. The coordinator helps protect the office's income, monitors quality control, and balances competing work priorities for staff.
