Job Summary/Basic Function

Middle Tennessee State University, a Division I institution, member of the Conference USA, invites applications for the position of Assistant Women's Soccer Coach/Goalkeeper coach. Essential duties include: assist the Head Coach with day to day coaching of student athletes; training the goalkeepers; recruiting academically sound and competitive student athletes; scheduling to enhance championship opportunities; managing equipment, organizing and arranging team travel plans; overseeing and promoting camps; compliance with NCAA rules among staff and student athletes; budgeting assigned funds; and serve as an ambassador of the university and a valued member of the community. Assist the University's Head Women's Soccer Coach organize and administer all aspects of the NCAA Division I women's soccer program: assist in all phases of the development of a quality NCAA Division I soccer program that will be competitive on the field and in the classroom within NCAA guidelines and in a professional manner. Make public appearances and speak at civic events within the community. Remain current on changes and enhancements in the sport of soccer. Expected to know and follow NCAA rules and regulations and successfully pass the recruiting test each year to recruit for the university. NCAA Compliance documentation will be completed accurately and submitted to the compliance office in a timely fashion.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.

Required Related Experience

Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Two years of high school, college, or professional coaching and/or playing experience at the college level is expected. Proven ability to recruit academically and athletically qualified student athletes. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Desirable Related Experience

Five years of high school, college, or professional goalkeeper coaching and/ or playing experience preferred. Experience with the integration, implementation and management of multiple video analysis, scouting, recruiting, performance tracking, and analysis software systems is preferred.
