Job Summary/Basic Function
The Key Shop Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing the mechanical key systems at the university. The role includes prioritizing tasks, maintaining records, processing key card requests, and assisting locksmiths with scheduling and installation. This position also handles granting and terminating access for university personnel using the Lenel On Guard electronic access control system. In addition, the Key Shop Coordinator participates in project development and design, reviews building plans, and contributes to Campus Planning PFI meetings. The coordinator works closely with contractors, reviews purchase orders, and maintains records in Power BI for project management. They are also responsible for responding to callbacks and completing MP2s as needed. Overall, this position requires attention to detail, collaboration with stakeholders, and a methodical approach for successful access control project implementation.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
Three years experience in a key inventory control or related area.
