Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the Director will lead the university’s undergraduate recruitment efforts with a bold vision, collaborative spirit, and commitment to student access and success.
As the senior recruitment officer, the Director oversees all operations within the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and plays a central role in shaping and executing strategies to attract and enroll a diverse, academically talented, and mission-aligned undergraduate student body. The Director supervises a diverse and dedicated team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Lead the planning and supervision of all departmental operations related to recruitment, including market and target analysis, strategic development of recruitment territories, and the effective use of recruitment tools and technologies.
• Oversee the development and execution of key recruitment initiatives, including large-scale events on and off campus, high school visits, campus tours, and prospect engagement strategies such as the purchasing of ACT/SAT names.
• Drive results-oriented recruitment strategies to meet the annual enrollment goals established by the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management.
• Supervise the recruitment, training, development, and evaluation of professional and support staff to ensure high performance and student-centered service.
• Collaborate with internal partners across the university to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with institutional priorities.
• Manage special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Vice Provost.

Required Education

Master’s degree required, with preference for fields related to educational administration, data analysis, planning, or organizational leadership. Relevant disciplines may include Higher Education, Business Management, Marketing, Computer Systems, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Social Work, or closely related areas.

Required Related Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of full-time, progressively responsible experience in areas such as student recruitment, educational outreach, enrollment services, student affairs, retention, or data analysis—at the university or secondary education level. At least two (2) of those years must include supervisory experience.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Valid drivers license

Desirable Related Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in high school-to-college recruitment and/or transfer student outreach and enrollment strategies.
