Job Summary/Basic Function
The Jennings A. Jones College of Business, Department of Economics and Finance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#113130) in Finance at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024.
The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and conduct research in the following areas of finance: corporate finance, international finance, financial intermediation, financial markets, behavioral finance, investments, and asset pricing.
Required Education
A terminal degree in finance is required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Applicants with the following will receive special consideration:
- University-level teaching experience.
- Well-developed research agenda with the promise of publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed finance journals.
- Professional work experience in finance.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain partnerships with the finance industry.
