Job Summary/Basic Function
The Womack Educational Leadership Department at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a Professional Counseling full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#120510) at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2024.
The successful applicant will teach graduate-level courses in professional counseling, supervise practicum and internship experiences, maintain an active research and scholarship agenda, and serve the program, department, college, university, community, and profession. Our Professional Counseling Program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Program (CACREP). Required Education
A terminal degree in counselor education from a CACRE-accredited program is required by the appointment date.
Required Related Experience
Two years of post-masters experience working in a clinic or school setting is required.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Tennessee is required.
Other Desirables
Applicants with formal training or experience supervising student counselors and working in a school setting will receive special consideration. In addition, applicants who are members and involved in professional organizations such as ACA, ASCA, and ACES will receive special consideration.
