Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for two full-time, clinical-track (non-tenure) faculty positions (#114260 and #288010) in Maintenance Management. The start date for the positions is August 1, 2024.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach classes in Aerospace and Maintenance Management in traditional on-campus classrooms, maintenance labs, online, and at airport and off-campus outdoor locations. In addition, active involvement in university and professional service is required.
Required Education
A master’s degree in aerospace, aviation, aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, management, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Required Related Experience
Two (2) years of aerospace/aviation maintenance, aerospace/aviation engineering, or collegiate teaching in aviation maintenance is required.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Applicants must have FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications.
Other Desirables
Applicants with FAA Pilot or Remote Pilot certifications will receive special consideration. In addition, applicants with a terminal degree in aerospace, aviation, aerospace engineering, aviation maintenance, management, or a closely related field will receive special consideration.
