The Welding Technology Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction that prepares students for employment and advancement in welding, fabrication, construction, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, shipbuilding, energy, and related occupations. The instructor will provide instruction in welding theory and practical applications, including welding safety, welding fundamentals, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), thermal cutting processes, weld joints and positions, blueprint and welding-symbol interpretation, fabrication, inspection, and related welding technology.
