Salary: Start of $47,000 with actual offer based on experience and education

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the training, coaching, and supervision of the Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) staff who cover enrollment and student affairs job duties at SOWELA’s instructional sites. Works with EMSA staff to ensure that students at the instructional sites have access to EMSA services.
• Coordinate work duties and hours of the instructional site EMSA staff and provide coverage if there is a need.
• Lead in the development and maintenance of procedures for the efficient and effective delivery of services to students at the instructional sites. Provide opportunities for staff to collaborate.
• Work collaboratively with the Recruitment department, EMSA staff, and the Instructional Site coordinator to recruit.
• Coordinate new student orientation at the instructional Sites and assists at the main campus.
• Award the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant funding within guidelines.
• Manage the private loan program to include certification and monitoring for over awards.
• Ensure compliance with all college, federal and state regulations and audit requirements.
• Assist with the institutional and SOWELA Foundation scholarship programs.
• Assist with financial aid processing as needed.
• Use of professional judgment in a fair and consistent manner to make decisions for situations which arise that are not covered by federal regulation. (i.e., dependency overrides, special condition applications)
• Assist with high school visits as needed for FAFSA Workshops and financial aid workshops for prospective students.
• Participate in conferences and workshops (whether in person or virtual) to remain knowledgeable on regulations pertaining to financial aid.
• Initiate personnel actions such as hiring, coaching, developing, evaluating, and disciplining. Prepare work schedules; assign or delegate responsibilities. Monitor payroll and timesheets. Set deadlines to ensure completion of tasks and functions.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.

Required Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.

Required Experience: 

• Two years of experience in an educational related setting.

Preferred Education: 

• Two years of experience in an enrollment management or student affairs position within a higher education setting.
