Duties and Responsibilities: 

Issues official academic and Workforce transcripts, which includes monitoring requests through the National Student Clearinghouse and resolving issues with suspended requests. Researches and re-constructs microfilm transcripts that date back to the year 1924. Calculates semester and cumulative grade point average. Researches and solves student's transcript issues. Fulfills mailed-in transcript requests.

Corresponds regularly with students, military, government agents and university officials from other universities/colleges regarding student's official transcripts issues or status. Prepares and reviews transcripts reports. Maintains an accurate and efficient log of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Supervises one (1) student worker.

Maintains knowledge of program requirements, class pre-requisites and test scores requirements and advises students on such requirements. Assists with overall student registration processes to include, but not limited to: trouble shooting student's registration issues, drop/add courses, course reinstatement requests, interpreting holds, student withdrawals, one day transcript requests, and all other related duties in person, e-mail, chat or virtually.

Counsels potential graduates on program requirements for graduation. Evaluates students' transcripts, degree audits, program curriculum and determines graduation eligibility for each potential graduate. Loads students' graduation status in the Student Information System. Serves as the primary contact as it relates to student degree requirements and graduation status for their assigned alphabet (Q,L,V).

Consults and communicates with academic advisors, assistant deans or deans to resolve student's graduation related issues.
Processes incoming subpoenas and sends notifications to students as per FERPA guidelines. Completes daily registration reports. Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor, College Registrar or designee.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working in a fast-paced professional office environment - preferably within a college setting. Excellent customer/student service; interpersonal skills; excellent listening and communication skills required for interaction with students, faculty, staff and academic departments.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong computer skills - MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point

Preferred Education: N/A

Preferred Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working in the Registrar's Office with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
